In the Låssby factory on Hisingen, the IAC Group has a complete facility for manufacturing dashboards. The dashboards are being delivered in sequence to the nearby Volvo Cars factory, among other destinations. This delivery takes place approximately four hours in advance, so careful planning is crucial to ensure timely and accurate execution. The rate is about 54 dashboards per hour over two shifts. There are numerous variations in the details to be manufactured, making the process extremely complex.

Hjulsbro Steel has chosen Empir Industry as a partner for digitizing its plant in Linköping. In the factory, PC strands are manufactured primarily for the construction industries, as well as for mines and railways. Hjulsbro wanted to increase the degree of efficiency, quality assurance and traceability in the production process and has therefore chosen to implement Empir Industry’s MES platform.

For example, in the new high-volume production that Azelio set up in Uddevalla, where Stirling engines where manufactured for shipping worldwide. Furthermore, the system was implemented in their test and development facility in Åmål.

In early 2020, Empir Industry received a major order from e-commerce and fashion company NA-KD to deliver services and critical IT infrastructure to NA-KD’s new automated Nordic robot warehouse in Landskrona, Sweden which went operational in August 2020. The warehouse is a state-of-the-art and automated distribution center of just over 23,000 sqm with the possibility of expansion. The warehouse is built around an AutoStore solution delivered by Element Logic and the WMS system Manhattan SCALE delivered by Idnet. With its new warehouse, NA-KD is able to continue to deliver on its strong sales growth and improve its lead times to all Nordic customers. Empir Industry’s new concept Always On Logistics is the basis for the deal.
